Pirouline ATHLETE LOUNGE
PROJECT TEAM: Ramsey Baker, Executive Director; Andrea Morrison, Creative Director; Meg Seymour-Metzger, Graphic Designer

MY ROLE: I designed artwork and worked with local vendors to get all artwork created and baked. I was also on-site to setup baked good and maker sure furniture and other props were situated and displayed correctly.

GOAL: To create an athlete lounge that adhered to the Pirouline brand stands and created a fun and inviting experience for athletes, coaches and other backstage spectators that also looked great on tv (NBC & Peacock streaming).

AUDIENCE: This project was seen by over 10,000,000 people on NBC Universal platforms

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Pirouline had presenting rights for the Pirouline Athlete Lounge at the 2022 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Nashville. Located backstage during competition, the lounge is a key broadcast position during NBC's coverage of the event, serving as the backdrop for post-competition interviews and live look-ins as skaters and coaches relax before and/or after a performance while watching their competitors.
CHALLENGES: We had three days to design and deliver files to the vendors in order to produced in time for the event. Not only did we need to create a comfortable environment for our skaters but we had to follow Pirouline's brand guidelines to insure quick approval. Because of shipping delays, I also had to find a local printer to create and install the remaining pieces and work with a local bakery to create baked goods using Pirouline cookies. I also set up a swag table that offered Pirouline branded products for athletes and coaches to take and post online using #SnackGlam @Pirouline.
OUTCOME: This was an extremely popular activation for athletes and everyone backstage with a viewership on NBC Universal of over 10,000,00,000. Pirouline was excited with the final product, how we captured their brand identity and gave rave reviews!

Part of my role on this project was to determine materials and work with the printer to share our vision. Above is a sample correspondence with local printer showing materials I had researched.

I worked with a local bakery for our dessert display. This required me to determine how many desserts we needed and how to display. I purchased display pieces from Amazon and worked with D'Andrews Bakery and Cafe for the baked good - 555 Church St, Nashville, TN 37219. Athlete interviews were staged behind and in front of this display.
Below is a sample from my communications with the bakery with ideas from Pitnerest with desserts made with Pirouline cookies.

I also setup a swag table for Pirouline that competitors and coaches. This included: t-shirts, long sleeved t-shirts, face masks, headbands, beanie hats and cookies.
