Creating captivating and consistent visual content is an integral part to the success of any brand effort or marketing campaign. Accompanied by a strong strategic marketing plan, a collaborative team of invested stakeholders and strong, compelling copy a successful campaign can not only enhance brand reputation but also generate leads and increase sales volumes.

 

Below are examples of some successful projects I’ve worked on as lead designer. Please note, because of my high value of work and limited resources, I'm not able to show documentation for full my process.

2023-24 ISU Grand Prix marketing strategy
 
U.S. Figure Skating took the lead for the International Skating Union (ISU) to create a marketing plan for the ISU Grand Prix Series. As the Head of Creative and Content I was tasked with creating the presention given by the CEO to the ISU and creating and overseeing the visual content and to promote the series.

2022 pirouline athlete lounge
 

Pirouline had presenting rights for the Pirlouine Athlete Lounge at the 2023 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Located backstage during competition, the lounge is a key broadcast position during NBC's coverage of the event, serving as the backdrop for post-competition interviews and live look-ins as skaters and coaches relax before and/or after a performance while watching their competitors.

During covid lockdown we undertook the project of refreshing the design of the U.S. Figure Skating headquarters. We began this project in late 2021 to update the building interior before staff returned after two years of remote working. After 20+ years of no updates this was long overdue.

Along with being Creative Director I am also a full time designer. For the 2023 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships I created all design for the never.

2022 Winter Olympic Games
 

A large part of my job is overseeing digital artwork on social media. For the 2022 Olympics Winter Games in Beijing we successfully came up with a plan to increase fan engagement engagement from the previous Olympics.

The Ice Desk is where former skaters provide fan commentary during and after elite figure skating competitions and is shown on FanZone and YouTube.

In 2018, I led an initiative to create a new brand book for U.S. Figure Skating that would include all our usage guidelines as well as a new color palette to bring more consistency to the brand image. This was a successful project which led to my promotion as Creative Director as well as overseeing and approving all internal and external brand usage.

This installation was originally created for an Olympic Day celebration at Toyota headquarters. It is still used today at many events to create an interactive experience for fans and spectators.

hero practice services
 
Hero Practice Services is a national chain of dental and vision clinics gear toward kids and teenagers. In 2019, I was referred to Hero by a colleague and began doing freelance work for them. My first project was to create artwork for their redesigned headquarters. I've gone on to do a number of wall murals that are used in clinics across the country.

geico zamboni wrap
 
I've created wrapps city buses in Boston, a Nascar racing car in North Carolina and more zambonis than I can count. This was a particularly fin zamboni since Geico gave me full freedom to create a design that followed their brand guidelines with a flair of figure skating.

I was the lead designer for the 2019 GEICO U.S. Figure Skating Championships held from January 18-27, 2019 at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

2020 National Skating Month
 
Pirouline sponsored the backstage Athlete Lounge at the 2022 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The Lounge is an area where athletes hang out after competing and are interviewed for NBC. This was an incredibly exciting and rewarding project for our team. We successfully incorporated their #SnackGlam campaign into beautiful and delicious a 3D environment.
